Diana Penty is an Indian model and film actress who appears in Hindi films. She first appeared in modeling and in 2012 started acting again in the romantic-comedy film 'Cocktail'. Her performance was praised in the film, and she got nominations for Best Female Debut for the Filmfare Award. In addition, she earned the award for modeling and the International Indian Film Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Diana was born on 2 November 1985 in Mumbai to the home of a Parsi father and a Christian mother. She believes in Christianity. She went to St. Agnes High School, Mumbai and from St. Xavier`s College, Mumbai she Graduated with a bachelor's degree in Mass Media.
Diana started her modeling when she sent her photos to Elite Models India, and she liked her work and suggested that she could do modeling. At that time she was in college and was reluctant to choose a career in modeling, so she decided to work part-time as a fashion model.
In 2005, Diana officially started working for Elite Models India and started its runway in the Indo-Italian Festival for Italian designers Nicola Trussardi and Gianfranco Ferré.
After that, Diana worked for many other Indian designers, including Wendell Rodricks, Rohit Bal, and Rina Dhaka, by 2007, after attending print campaigns for some of India's largest brands.
Then Diana went on to model in the international circuit and started supporting global brands including Maybelline, Garnier and Forever 21.
After the modeling career, she started receiving offers for movies, but she refused to offers to focus on modeling. From 2008 to 2010, Diana has set herself internationally after modeling for fashion weeks in Paris and New York.
Originally with Randhir Kapoor in Imtiaz Ali's movie 'Rockstar' was actually offered her. But she rejected the film due to his modeling commitments at that time and later she was signed for Homi Adajania's film 'Cocktail', which included Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone. The film received a positive review.
After four years of distance from the screen, Diana played Anand L. Rai's production role in the film 'Happy Bhag Jayegi' (2016), as the nominated Kahodi bride. The film earned mixed reviews from critics.
Diana was recently seen as a hardworking NGO activist "Gayatri Kashyap" in the movie "Lucknow Central" on September 17, 2017.
Diana has also been confirmed to return for the sequel to 'Happy Bhag Jayegi' and recently she appeared in Abhishek Sharma's film 'Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran'.
In addition to modeling and acting, Diana is currently TRESemmé, Indian brand ambassador of Nokia, and especially Lumia 510 phone and Micromax Mobile.
Diana has also appeared on many magazine covers, such as the July 2012 issue of Vogue, issue of Elle of October 2012, January 2013 issue of Verve, January / February 2013 Issue of Women's Health India, February 2013 in Grazia, May 2013 Issue of Femina.
